New Shiny Things

I now have some lovely new tags to attach to my products and I have been busy sewing and making cushions and lampshades again after a brief interlude making props and costumes for my daughters play which was great fun!

I was also asked by a friend to make her a ceremonial stole ! She has been training to be a celebrant and can now conduct non-denominational ceremonies including weddings, funerals and births and she wanted something special and personal, to her, that she could wear each time . Here’s a picture modelled by my daughter. It was a mix of screen print and free motion embroidery. She wanted particular phrases inscribed into the lengths of the stole , they are quite subtle though. It’s made out of natural wool and silk.

I have also been making some beaded cotton voile scarves using what I call my Hex bee pattern which I’ve used on lampshades before.

And I have made some more “Beegirl” lampshades in various sizes and colours and matching large square cushions to go with.
