My latest project is complete and ready to be transported up to Cirencester to the New Brewery Arts Centre for the group exhibition I am in, starting 18th January- 8th March, 2014, Second Impressions.
It’s a collection of three patchwork stuffed shapes . The two smaller ones are each made out of one single piece of digitally printed fabric which has been stitched together to form a spherical polyhedron made up of a pattern of hexagons, flowers and bees and punctuated with twelve covered buttons. The larger one is similar in shape but hand stitched together utilising many different types of hand dyed fabrics and digitally printed and screen printed patterns.
They will be displayed with three of my latest lampshade designs.
The show displays examples of different types of printmaking made by eight of my M.A. contemporaries from UWE, who completed the Multi Disciplinary Printmaking course with me, back in 2012.
Well worth a trip !
